THE REAL MOVEMENT PRESENTS: STEVIE Z

Everyone is talking about a movement...well we have a real one. Here is the latst installment of Next up....with Stevie Z/:

Artist Biography Ft. Stevie Z and ILLosophy records.

Mixtape Cover Stevie Z Stevie Z an aspiring rapper/producer wants to make you a believer ,this 23 yr old hailing from Yonkers, New York, with an amazing ear for music and melody and a firm grasp on writing music from the heart , may just succeed at making you believe , in his music that is. A young man with an old soul, Stevie admits he digs R and B , Neo soul ,Jazz ,Classical and rock . Stevie is influenced by 90's hip hop artists such as ,Nas ,Jay-Z , and Big Pun ,listen closely to his music and you can hear them in his style but he manages to make it exactly that, "his style". Stevie has been into music for as long as he can recall ,as a young child he sang in his elementary school choir , then he realized that he can play instruments by ear , mimicking sounds came easily for him .Stevie was gifted at a young age. However like most of us in our adolescent years , he started hanging around with the wrong crowd and his school work suffered for it ,visibly. After getting left back a couple of times he was eventually faced with the reality of possibly becoming a dropout and a failure , Stevie found himself spiraling into a depressed state soon he would start writing down his feelings and his thoughts .Showing them to his friends he got compliments and they recognized it as good poetry . Eventually Stevie focussed decided he wasn't become a failure and actually got skipped up a grade. This 1st victory was encouraging to him. It was in school that Z observed other kids banging out beats on tables and rapping and he would be in the crowd watching and and found himself wanting to do what they did. Again Stevie would use his focusing powers and stepped up his writing game becoming better at his rhymes before you knew it he was no longer on the outside observing those other kids rap he was one of those kids rapping and doing it well with crowd control and his very own style. His 2nd victory was won. Stevie penned his 1st rap at the age of 15. He has been rapping and going hard ever since. Today he is the founder and C.E.O of ILLosophy Records , and heads a line up of aspiring rappers with the same focus and integrity of music he has. He is not one to snub other artists either he is open to working with other underground rappers because like he says "that's where Hip Hop lives." So if you are serious about yours get at him because you see that this cat gets focused and makes things happen . Mr. Z stays striving for perfection and sees himself as his only real competition. " I'll let them do them and I'll worry about taking my music to where it needs to be now and for the future " clearly he isn't stressing the rest of 'em. When asked why should people listen to his music he methodically replies "No gimmicks, just real life…My music is revolved around my own experiences and observations, I relate to the struggle this is my story and I’m hoping to spark minds and inspire a song at a time. So with that said I’ll let my music speak for itself just press play and spread my voice." And there you have it people , so if you are like me and you need ya music straight with no chaser Stevie Z is your guy. Who is the G.O.A.T

Will we ever find the true G.O.A.T?

“Whose the best Pac, Nas, or Big/AIN’T NO BEST”  Maybe Nas said it best when he said this line.  This is an argument that, I think, will be argued until the end of time. What makes it hard to decided it that every coast, every state, and every generation will tell you differently…will there ever be a time when we can all decide on one? Well here are some emcees that you might consider the best, feel free to weigh in or list one that I have missed.

Best from the South: SCAREFACE?

Best from the East: BIGGIE?

Best from the West: TUPAC?

Best from the north: KARDINAL OFFISHALL?

Who do you think is the G.O.A.T? (Greatest Of All Time)

THE MOVEMENT 101-NEXT UP....INTELLECTUAL PRESTIGE

This is THE MOVEMENT 101. An important part of this show is to let someone know if they are wack or not. Seems like these days anybody who can talk, can become an emcee: with that being said, THE MOVEMENT 101 is the show where we get to hear our independent artist, fresh from the streets. Let them know how you are feeling them, whether they got skillz....or need to get a day job.
